I moved to the Chicago area 5 years ago and used Mike Z as my realtor. I was looking for an older established community in the Western Suburbs. Since buying my home thru Mike, I've recommended him to 2 co-workers, both of which thanked me for the referral and were very happy with his services.
It's very apparent that Mike has a vast knowledge of the different communities in the Western Suburbs to include shopping, services available and potential drawbacks (for example, areas that might be more prone to flooding, train lines and chronic traffic congestion problems).
In searching for an older home, Mike was also very knowledgable about structural issues. We looked at several homes in which Mike spotted needed repairs and was able to give a good estimate of what the needed repairs would cost. I thought that some of the repairs would be significant, only to be told by Mike that the repair was cosmetic. Other repairs I thought were cosmetic were actually structural problems involving massive construction costs.
Another quality of Mike's that I appreciated was that he limited his searches for potential homes to those with the features I was looking for and within my budget. I felt like the other realtors I used on my two previous home purchases showed me homes that didn't quite match exactly what I was looking for and often showed homes above my maximum budget. I was very appreciate that Mike didn't waste my time to show me a house with 75% of the features I wanted for only $20,000 more than I wanted to spend!
I would absolutely recommend Mike to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the Western Suburbs who wants a knowledgeable and trustworthy realtor who knows the community.
